Julie Spangler Klug
| Julie Spangler Klug is keyboardist and accompanist for the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. A graduate of Indiana University, Julie has been a member of the Pops since 1991, having the honor to work alongside legendary musical artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Ray Charles, and Henry Mancini. She has also worked as an accompanist and musical director in CCM's prestigious musical theater program for many years. She arranges and performs CCM’s graduating class’s showcase every spring in New York City, the greatest opportunity for them to become employed on New York’s Broadway scene. Julie is also a choral and orchestral arranger, writing for many different vocal and instrumental ensembles. She has written arrangements for the Cincinnati Pops, Toledo Symphony, Oregon Symphony, and Windsor Symphony orchestras. Just recently, her arrangement of “A Medley for World Peace” was featured as the finale of the Pops Orchestra’s much anticipated concert in Beijing, China during the week of the Olympic opening ceremonies. Julie and her family have been residents of Kennedy Heights for over 12 years. |
