Since their inception in 1985, the Adagio Trio’s unique combination of harp, flute and cello have created soothing sounds that are perfect for meditation and relaxation. Kathryn Daniels, Michael Daniels and Linda Grieser, the founding members, were praised in the Cincinnati Enquirer when Janelle Gelfand said their performance offered “sparkling arrangements with precision and attractive expression.” With the release of their first album, “Stillpoint” (1997), they introduced the world to their own arrangements of familiar tunes such as “The Water Is Wide” and Pachelbel’s “Canon in D”. Since then, they have released three more albums, including “Sanctuary” (1999), “Evensong” (2005), and a holiday collection aptly named “Winter Gift” (2002). Featured regularly on public radio stations across the country, The Adagio Trio’s fan base continues to grow and they have now sold over 37,000 albums without distribution. |
